Dear Parents,

On Wednesday 6th March World Maths Day (WMD) will be with us again.

Last year many children from Class 3 and up took part in the on-line Maths Day Competition. As this was so successful and was enjoyed by so many we have registered the children again this year.

You will be able to find the Username and Password that your child will need to access the site stapled into their Journal de Classe. The link to the website is:

http://www.worldeducationgames.com/

Children can start practising and using the site as soon as they like. We strongly recommend practising at home. As you may remember from last year, by doing this they will accumulate points that will form part of their final score.

On the day of the official competition, we will ensure that every child has time to participate “live” in the competition in the Computer Room. At the same time, there will be Maths activities organised all around the school.

We are looking forward to seeing a large number of BEPS children taking part in this great world competition and there is no doubt that it will be another fabulous experience for everybody involved.

Yours truly,

The World Maths Day Team

  • The WMD web-based event is available to children from Class 3 and up. Children in Class 1 and 2 will be introduced to the Maths activities in Sebran during the week of the event. The link to download Sebran's software can be found on the Computers at BEPS website.
  • You could also register yourself and join the adult competition. We know from experience that this is a fun and rewarding experience.
