Another long weekend

As you know tomorrow is a Bank Holiday, which means there is no school. We are also closed on Friday, and so we have a four-day weekend. (It will seem very strange next week when we have a usual week.)

You should have received information about our Summer Fair today. As you may remember last year we used it to open our 40th Anniversary Celebrations and dressed in the styles of the 70s. As we are concluding our celebrations at the end of the academic year, and because everybody looked so fabulous last year, we have decided to continue with the theme this year. Please dig out those flares and platforms again – or maybe you will find some even more amazing 70s items - in readiness to wear on Saturday 8th June. I am really looking forward to turning back the clock once again!

I would like to remind you that we will be celebrating International Day on Thursday 23rd May. We are hoping that you will be able to come into school to share something linked to your home country with the children. Please send back your form, informing us what you are willing to do and when. Your support and input will help to make another memorable day at BEPS. Thank you in advance.

Next Thursday evening (16th May) it is the Class 7 Exhibition. The children have been working hard for this event, and can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. The rest of the school will have the opportunity to see the Exhibition on Friday with their classes, and we hope that you will find the time to take a look at it too. This is why the display boards are looking bare and uninspiring, but it won’t be the case for too long.

Next Friday there will be plenty of things to update you on, and plenty of things for you to look at when you are in school.

Enjoy the break.

Best Wishes
