We were very lucky to have a visit from St. Nicolas today. He went to visit Class 1 and the children in Pre-school and left wonderful goodie bags for everybody else to enjoy. I am sure all of the children would like to say a big thank-you to St. Nicolas they were very lucky indeed.

There were some amazing cakes at the Class 4 Cake sale yesterday afternoon.  Thanks to your generous support they raised a total of 168€ which they will use for something for their classes. Thank you for your continued support with these greatly anticipated events.

This week has been full of winter preparations. You may have seen that the Christmas tree has arrived and that is now bedecked with BEPS stars. We are trying to rotate the tree so that everybody’s star gets the chance to be at the front! It certainly looks beautiful, so please try and come in to admire it.

Lots of classes have started their preparations for the Winter Fair and there has been lots of craft taking place this week. Please make sure that you join us on Wednesday 11th for the Winter Fair, which will run between 11.00 and 12.20. Once you have been to our fair, please take the opportunity to go next door to the Lycee Moliere to visit theirs. The students from Lycee Moliere are going to run some games for our children and so will be very happy if you can drop in to visit them. All the profit we make will go to Nativitas, and so if you are unable to make it on Wednesday you may like to send your child(ren) with some money to spend. Thank you for your support.

On Thursday we had the first run through of our Winter Concert. The children are all excited about preparing their performances for you, and are doing a great job. I am sure that they are bringing home song words and scripts to learn and we appreciate your support in helping them prepare these.

If you have not yet returned your Winter Concert ticket forms, please can you do so on Monday. We will then be able to see how many additional tickets we will be able to send out next Friday (13th). Even if you are keeping both of your tickets please can you return the form to inform us. Thank you.

The Class 5 Snack Shop, Pick A Lick will be open next Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 08.40 – 09.10.  Our young entrepreneurs have borrowed 100€ from Mr. Soerensen our Financial Director and are hoping to be able to repay him and make a profit too. They hope that children will enjoy the opportunity to purchase their own snacks on one of these days. There are a wide range of items that can be bought, both healthy and less healthy options are available, all costing 1€ or less. If your child would like to buy something it would be helpful if they bring coins to spend. I am sure that the Class 5 children will keep you informed of their progress.

Next week will be very busy with the final Winter Fair preparations and two full Winter Concert rehearsals. It may seem hard to believe but there is still a lot of learning happening between these activities and Homework and reading will still be happening at home.

The weather is also getting colder again and the children need to be warmly dressed with gloves, scarves and hats for playtime.

I hope that you all have an enjoyable weekend. See you on Wednesday if not before.

Best Wishes
