We have only just returned after the holiday, and now we have two additional days of weekend!

During the half term break some further work took place in the playground. Plants were planted around the edge of the play area, and these will spread out once spring arrives. The final repairs to the playground equipment were also completed.

We would like to thank the parents that attended the presentation on Language Acquisition and the Development of Bilingualism on Tuesday evening.  As was offered on the evening, we will always be happy to discuss your specific family needs with you further.

The Circus was in BEPS this afternoon! Class 3 entertained their friends with an amazing performance and are now looking forward to sharing their newfound skills with their parents on Wednesday morning.

Next week the Class 2s have two exciting events during the week. On Wednesday morning Mr. Gellar is coming to talk to them about his collection of historical toys and on Thursday they are off to the Toy Museum.

As the weather has now turned colder and wetter, please can you ensure that your child(ren) come to school dressed appropriately. They will continue to go outside to play and so will need to have both warm and waterproof coats and hats, gloves and scarves as the weeks progress.

With the arrival of some wetter weather we would like to inform you of the procedure for wet dismissal. As you can now shelter under the rain cover the children will come out as usual if there is light rain. Only if there is heavy rain will you need to come into school to collect your child(ren) from their classroom. As garderie takes place in Class 1 the Class 1 children will be dismissed from the terrace if the rain is heavy.

We would also like to take this opportunity to ask you once again to close the gate when you enter the playground through the black gate from Avenue Victoria. It is of paramount importance that this is kept closed to ensure the safety of the children. Thank you for your support.

We were very happy for a new teacher to join staff this week. Ms. Kim Hooper, who is an experienced teacher from Canada, will replace Ms. Guille whilst she is on Maternity leave. She will work in Class 3D on Thursdays and with the English as an Additional Language (EAL) team on Fridays. I am sure that you will join with us in welcoming her.

Our Librarian Oonagh would like to inform you that the date for ordering books from Bakers Books has been extended until Friday 14th November. If you have not yet made an order you still have some time to think about this and send it in.
