The week started with Class 2 visiting the Ligue Braille. They thoroughly enjoyed their trip and were able to experience what it is like to be partially sighted or blind.

On Tuesday a meeting was held 7 to introduce the parents of children in Classes 6 & to the curriculum and expectations of Class 8, which will be introduced to BEPS next September. If you are interested in finding out more about this new initiative, please ask.

As there wasn’t P.E today, lots of classes ventured into the woods to benefit from some exercise and fresh air, the children were all very disappointed that the snow from yesterday evening had gone. Next week it will be back to P.E in the gym as usual.

Preparations for Student Led Conferences are beginning, and as always the children are looking forward to sharing their learning with you and showing you the different ways in which they learn. Appointment times for these will be sent home on Monday, so please look out for them in your child’s Blue Bag.

You should have received a letter with some preliminary information about our forthcoming International and Mother Tongue Day today. We hope that you will be able to come and join us to celebrate the international diversity there is within our school.

Dates for your diary:

Tuesday 10th February – Student Led Conferences

Friday 13th February – Break up for Half Term (School ends at 15.30)

Monday 23rd February – School restarts

Friday 27th February – International and Mother Tongue Day

Thursday 5th March – World Book Day

Friday 13th March – No School – Teacher INSET Day

This afternoon the children had Buddy Time and enjoyed spending time with their buddies, we are sure that your child(ren) will be happy to tell you what they did together.

Finally, Kurt Goossens apologies to those of you that are waiting for copies of the Winter Concert DVD. Unfortunately due to family health issues he has been unable to proceed with these as quickly as he would have hoped. However, he is optimistic that they will be ready for the end of next week, and thanks you for your patience.

It will be interesting to see if we wake up to snow tomorrow morning like we did last Saturday, there will be many happy children if it does though!

Enjoy the weekend.

Best Wishes

The Leadership Team.
