Thank you to everybody that attended the Parent/Teacher Consultations on Tuesday. It is always great to see everyone taking the opportunity to find out how their children are progressing and to discuss ways of ensuring that this will continue.

On Wednesday evening the PTA held an evening at The Black Sheep and although there were not too many people present there was still plenty of fun. Let’s hope that the next time they arrange a social evening more people will be able to attend.

As you are probably aware we sent two teams to join a football tournament, which was being held at ISF Waterloo today.  Our teams were made up of girls and boys from Classes 4-7 and they represented our school superbly. They set off at o9.00 this morning with their trainers Luc and Oscar unsure of what really lay ahead. However, not only did they show a great sense of fair play, co-operation and thoughtfulness throughout the day but they returned wearing medals and carrying a cup!

We are also happy to be able to tell you that Gabriel from Class 5 received a fair play medal. Please join with us in congratulating them all, we are very proud of their achievements and hope that they all enjoyed the experience.

There was also an important football match at BEPS, when those that didn’t manage to represent the school had a match of their own. Once again there was fair play and co-operation on both sides and everyone enjoyed it. After a thrilling end-to-end game Egon from Class 4 was named ‘man of the match’. Well Done!

Next week is the last week of term and also sees the end to some Units of Work. Class 4 will be celebrating with a Fashion Show on Wednesday (1st April). This will start at 11.30 and is being held to support the Blue Turtle Centre. Tickets cost 2€ and if you would like to join them, you would be very welcome to.

On Thursday Class 6 will be celebrating the end of their Unit of Work by holding an exhibition of their fairground ride models. They have invited their parents to join them at 15.00.

There will be fun for everyone on Thursday (2nd April) when the PTA are organising an Easter Egg hunt for all of the children in the school. They are still looking for some volunteers to help with the running of this event, so please let them know if you would be able to. The garden will be decorated and eggs hidden so let’s hope that the sun will shine on us.

We’d like to take this opportunity to inform you that some work will be taking place around the outside of the main BEPS building during the two weeks holiday. The red gravel, which is currently on the ground, will be removed and replaced with an alternative.  As this will require the use of some heavy machinery the gates at the front of school will be closed at 09.15 on Friday morning and there will not be access through the main front door after this time. Access will be then through the back door next to Ms. Hertay’s office. As you know school will end at 12.30 on Friday and on this occasion we must ask for your support in ensuring that the school grounds are cleared by 13.00. Thank you.
