This time last week the sun was shining and preparations for the Summer Fair were well underway. Little were we to know that later that evening a storm would cause havoc with the tents, and that lots of the hard work would be undone. Despite this, the PTA were undeterred and by the time the Fair started on Saturday morning you wouldn’t have known anything had happened. The Summer Fair was as fantastic as ever, and everybody had a great time. The weather was a fantastic bonus too. We are sure that you would like to join with us in thanking the PTA for all their hard work and for making the event so successful. Also a big thank you to everybody else that volunteered to help before and during the Fair.
Another annual BEPS event took place yesterday. The Talent Show enabled many of the talented BEPS children to share their hidden skills and was thoroughly enjoyed by the rest of the school. It was amazing to see and hear so many talents and to realise that there are many superstars in the making. Thank you to all of the children that auditioned for the event and to those that confidently shared their talents with us. If you were unable to be there you will be able to see the video of the event on the Music section of our website.
This afternoon Class 6 have been sharing their learning with their families and friends. They presented their knowledge, skills and understanding linked to their latest Unit of Work, Black Gold. As you can see we are certainly not slowing down for the end of the year.
Although next week it will be a little quieter than usual around school, it won’t mean that any less is happening. The Upper School children and their teachers will all be away on their Residential Trips from Monday until Friday afternoon. We are sure that they will have a fabulous time and hope that the weather will be good to them.
Pam Mundy our Early Years advisor will be in school once again on Tuesday and Wednesday. It is a pity that she won’t be here to see the Early Years (Pre-school and Class 1) Sports Day on Friday though. This will start at 09.30 and our budding athletes will be happy to see you if you’d like to join them.
Finally, but very importantly. We are happy to announce that from Monday (15th June) we will be launching our BEPS Twitter account. You will be able to follow us on BEPS@BEPS_Brussels. Our first tweets will be used to keep you up to date with what’s happening on the Residential Trips, so please make sure to follow us.
The weekend is here and there will be lots going on, and of course this Sunday is a special day for all the Dads. Happy Father’s day to you all, enjoy the chance to be spoilt by your children.
