We are sure that you are happy to see that the grass for our new lawn arrived this week. The sunshine is really helping to make the garden look fantastic and we hope that it will continue to shine.

Along with the grass we have seen the completion of the wooden planters in the playground. The Early Years children will use these to grow a variety of plants in. We will look forward to seeing what appears first.

On Tuesday Evening the PTA held their Annual General Meeting and it was great to see some new faces at this. You should receive a copy of the minutes of this meeting soon.

Yesterday Class 6J went to visit the Magritte Museum as the Entry Point to their Unit of Work entitled ‘They See The World like This’. We are sure to see our budding artists develop still further as a result of this learning opportunity.

Dates for your diaries:

Wednesday 7th October – 09.00 First PTA Coffee Morning

Tuesday 20th October – Parent/Teacher Consultations (after school)

Saturday 24th October – PTA Halloween/Fireworks Party

Saturday 31st October – Sunday 8th November – Half Term holiday

Tuesday 10th November – School photographer

Wednesday 11th November – School closed (Armistice Day)

Next week is going to be another quiet week. Ms. Birch and Ms. Porrett will not be in school from Tuesday onwards as they are attending a Leadership Course and so that may have something to do with it!

Good luck to anyone who is taking part in the Brussels Marathon on Sunday.

Best Wishes,

The Leadership Team
