At last we have reached the end of a very unusual week, and we would like to thank you for your support during it.

We are glad to see that the Security Level has been reduced to level 3 and ask you to read the update e-mail you will receive, which will explain how this will affect the security measures we have put in place.

Although the children were not in school on Tuesday the staff were. We spent the day thinking about Spelling and International Mindedness. We had a very productive day and both of these areas will be revisited in the future. You will be invited to join us to discuss International Mindedness at a later date.

As we have already communicated to you, in the light of the recent events our Winter Fair will not take place next Wednesday. Instead we have postponed it until Wednesday 9th December. The children are preparing lots of exciting items for you to buy and we will be very happy to see you from 11.00 a.m. on that day.

As usual the French team will be running the ‘White Elephant’ stall at the Winter Fair and so you can send in any unwanted items for them to sell. They will be very happy to receive good quality games, toys or books that your child(ren) have outgrown. More information about this will be sent next week.

We are really hoping that St. Nicholas will pay the children a visit next Friday. He always has done in the past and so we’d be very surprised if he doesn’t this year!

Other dates for your diaries:

Tuesday 8th December – Class 3 Circus Show (14.30)

Wednesday 9th December - Winter Fair (11.00 a.m.)

Tuesday December 15th – Winter Concert (11.00 a.m.)

Friday 18th December – Break up – school finishes at 12.30

Monday 4th January – School Closed Teacher INSET Day

Tuesday 5th January – Back to school.

Despite the events happening outside of school this week, the children have had a very settled few days and have enjoyed their learning and especially playing in the new ‘hut’ in the playground. If you haven’t already visited it you should do so, but don’t forget to duck!

We would like to wish you all a very relaxing and restful weekend, we understand that the Plaisirs D’Hiver is beginning this weekend so it just shows that we are heading into a particularly busy time of the year.

Best Wishes

The Leadership Team.
