We thought that the ice would never clear from the playground, but eventually it did and the children could go outside to play again. They waited very patiently for this time, and played safely, which meant there weren’t any accidents.
Of course the highlight of the week was on Tuesday when we held our annual Student Led Conferences. As always, it was a great day and the children loved being in charge and showing you how they learn at school. Now that they have set their learning goals, we know there will be even more learning taking place. Thank you for coming and sharing this experience with your child(ren) and their teachers, we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we all did.
Class 1 had another exciting day yesterday, when they went to Technopolis for the day. Everything went really well and they had great fun and learnt lots at the same time. Next week it is Class 5s turn to go out of school to learn. They will be visiting the Sarcophagi exhibition at the Royal Museum of Art and History. The museum must have heard that they were going to be learning about the Egyptians this year and organised this event especially for them!
We are happy to be able to tell you that the Winter Concert DVDs will be delivered next week, and we know that the children will be very happy to have them.
The dates for your diaries remain the same:
Monday 8th – Friday 12th February – Half Term Holiday
Friday 19th February – International/Mother Tongue Day
That’s all we have to share with you at the moment, but we'd like to wish you all a good weekend.
See you on Monday.
