It’s already time for another holiday!

We only just seem to have come back to school and its time for another break. There are lots of children talking about skiing and holidays in sunny places and so we think that Brussels will be quiet next week.

Yesterday we sent home a letter about our forthcoming International/Mother Tongue day. This special day will take place on Friday 19th February. Thank you to those of you that have already offered your help. We hope that many more of you will be able to volunteer to come in and share an activity linked to your home country with the children. This is always a very exciting opportunity for the children and they always look forward to it. As there aren’t hot lunches on that day we ask the children to bring in some traditional food from their home country to share with their class at lunchtime. You are also welcome to come in at that time, to join in the fun. You will receive more information regarding timings for lunch after the half term break.

Class 1 showed their parents what superstars they were yesterday afternoon. For the Exit Point of their Unit of Work they held their ‘Lets’ Pretend’ performance in the attic. There were songs, rhymes and even plays, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience and the performers. There may well be some budding actors in their midst, so remember you saw them at BEPS first!

We are sure that you would like to join us in welcoming Ms. McKelvey to BEPS. She is joining us to work with Class 3D following the half term break until the Summer holiday. I am sure that her new class will be happy to introduce her to you.

It was the time for our latest Golden Certificates to be awarded today. This time they were presented to children who were demonstrating our Golden Rule ‘We listen to others’. Congratulations to all of the children that received one. They must have been listening really well to achieve one. Keep it up!
