We really celebrated today!

We have just ended a fantastic day at BEPS. International and Mother Tongue Day has been a great success. The children have all enjoyed themselves tremendously and learnt lots about all the different cultures within our school along the way.

We would like to thank everybody that volunteered to come in and run an activity with the children this morning, there were so many different things happening it was amazing. Also thank you to everybody for sending in such delicious food for the children (and adults) to share at lunchtime. Everybody has eaten far more than they usually do and tried many new dishes. Finally, thank you to those of you that were able to join us and help out during the lunchtime period, it certainly made lunchtime great fun and lots easier for the teachers.

The children are now already talking about what will happen next year!

It seems as though next week is going to be a quieter week, with only Class 4 heading out of school for a trip to the Natural Science Museum on Thursday. This will be in preparation for their new Unit of Work where they will be learning about Early Man up until the Iron Age.

Dates for your diaries:

Tuesday 23rd February 19:30 –PTA Meeting –  to discuss the Summer Fair and new ideas for this. Everybody is welcome.

Thursday 3rd March – World Book Day – the Book Fair will also be in school.

Friday 25th March – School ends at 12.30

Monday 28th March – Tuesday 12th April – Easter Holidays (Please note that there isn’t school on Monday 11th April as there is a Teacher INSET Day)

So it seems all that remains for now is to wish you all a great weekend and hope that the sun shines for as long as possible.

Best Wishes

The Leadership Team
