It’s the end of our very short week, and everybody is really looking forward to a sunny long weekend. The children have already been making the most of the sunshine and enjoying the playground and garden. Plenty of learning has happened in the two and a half days, but there haven’t been any other events for us to tell you about.
However, next week Classes 6, 7 & 8 are going out on a trip. The French team have organised a visit to Belgium's largest archeological reconstruction site in Aubechies. The Archeosite is an open-air museum, which will lead the children on an exciting journey into the Gallo-Roman period. This links with Class 6 Unit of Work on the Olympics and the Class 7/8’s on the Greeks and Romans, as well as their next one about settlements. Hopefully the weather will still be good for them then.
Last week a purse/small bag was found on Avenue Franklin Roosevelt outside school. If you have lost one, please come into school and let us know, so that it can be returned to you.
Dates for your diaries:
Monday 16th May – No school
Thursday 19th May – Book Fair
Saturday 4th June – Summer Fair
All that remains, is for us to wish you a lovely long weekend, and a very happy Mother’s Day to all our Mums. We hope that you are treated very well on Sunday and that the children are especially well behaved.
