BEPS will be quiet next week

This time last week we were looking forward to the Summer Fair, and we were right to because it was a brilliant one. We are sure that you all join with us in thanking the PTA for organising all the exciting new activities and the tempting food items. It’s something that the children will be talking about for a very long time. The photographs of this event can be found by going to our website and looking on the Pictures of School Events page. Enjoy them.

We would like to thank the parents that braved the weather on Tuesday and came to the information evening about our new mission statement. We hope that it was interesting for them to understand the process we went through to create it as it was for us to hear their comments on the outcome.

Yesterday some members of the BEPS choirs were lucky enough to go to a Choir Day at the BSB. They joined many other international school’s choirs and had a great musical day. They were praised for the fact that they sang beautifully and in”one voice”. Congratulations to them all, and of course to Ms. Ford too.

Class 1 have had a very artistic time this week. It started when a Mum came in to show them how to create paper cuttings like they do in Switzerland and continued with a visit to Pierre Bergé & Associés today. Here they looked at, talked about and reproduced different types of art. Thank you to everybody that made these experiences possible. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

As all Upper School Parents are aware, next week is the week for Residential Trips. As you know the weather can be very unpredictable and so please check the forecast to make sure that the children will have clothing to suit it. We will be sending regular news from the trips via Twitter. In order to receive these, you need to send a request to join us. To make sure you are accepted please let us know if you have a special Twitter name that is not your name, as we will not accept anybody we do not know. Thank you.

Next Thursday Class 2 will also be going on a trip. They will be visiting the whole of Europe in one day. You may ask how this is possible, but thanks to Mini Europe it can be achieved!

Dates for your diaries:

Week beginning 13th June – Upper School Residential Trips (Classes 4 & 5 return on Thursday and Classes 6,7 & 8 return on Friday)

Friday 17th June – Early Years Sports Day

Friday 24th June – Classes 2 – 8 Sports Day

Thursday 30th June – Reports sent home and school finishes at 12.30

This Sunday it is Father’s Day, and so the time for all all the BEPS Dads get to be spoilt by their children. We hope that you all have a great day!

Finally, we would like to wish all our Muslim families ‘Ramadan Kareem’ at the beginning of a very special time for them.

Best Wishes,

The Leadership Team
