It will be very quiet without the children tomorrow, but we will be working very hard so wont have time to miss them too much!

As you know Carlas Dias (Class 4D) is expecting her baby in February. We have been very lucky that she has been so well during her pregnancy and has been able to stay with her class for so long. However, she now feels that it is time to leave us, and to concentrate on staying fit and healthy for the forthcoming birth.
She will be handing her Class over to Laura Hope. Laura is an experienced teacher who has taught in Prague, Italy, Singapore and the UK. We are very happy that she is able to join the BEPS Community and know that she will ensure Class 4 continue to make excellent progress.
Carlas and Laura will work together with the class next week and then Laura will take over from Carlas on Monday 9th February.
I am sure that you join with me in wishing Carlas well during her maternity leave, and in welcoming Laura to BEPS.

We would like to thank all the people that have volunteered to come into school next week for our International Arts Days. If you have not yet volunteered it isn’t too late to do so. Please talk to your child’s teacher, they will be happy with any further offers of help.
Please send your child into school with some food from your home country for lunch on Friday. The children will share the contributions, so that they can all enjoy a range of tastes. Please join us if you possibly can. On Monday we will be sending a form for you to return with your dish, so that the children will know which country the food is from, and its significance. Thank you in advance for your support with this.

Classes 5,6&7 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the orchestra on Monday, and have realised that the only way to become a good musician is by practising.

Next week will be another busy one with plenty to report back on. We are all looking forward to celebrating our international community, please come in and share the experiences whenever you can.

Enjoy the longer than usual weekend.
