Last week we told you that the children in Class 8 were going to The Netherlands on a Residential Trip. They packed their backpacks and headed to Amsterdam, The Hague and the beach. Each day was packed with excitement and included a visit to Anne Frank’s house, surfing, power kiting and the opportunity to see the Escher Museum. This was all helped along with the introduction to some Dutch food and vocabulary. They all had a fabulous time and would be very happy to tell you about their experiences if you see them in the playground.
Class 1 were very excited to see Ms. Cohen (Dean’s Mum) when she came in on Tuesday. She joined the Class to talk to them about Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year). She brought in grape juice and fruits, that the children dipped into honey whilst wishing each other Shanah Tovah (Have a good/sweet year). This linked with their Unit of Work all about Celebrations. We would like to thank her for giving up her time to come in and give the children first hand experience of their learning. We understand that there are other visits planned and know that the children will be looking forward to these too.
