It's Friday again...

As you know at BEPS we celebrated Maths Day on Wednesday. All of the children in the school talked about shape. This meant that everybody from the Toddlers Group in Pre-School to the children in Class 8 were investigating shapes in many different ways. There were lots of art activities involving shape too. We are sure that your children will have told you all about what they did, learnt and enjoyed and are sure you will be able to see evidence from the day around school.

The Upper School children were fortunate enough to have assembly led by Class 6FJ this afternoon. They educated and entertained us all very confidently as they shared some of what they had learnt during their Brainwave Unit. You did a great job Class 6, and have set the bar high for future classes!

This week we have had two student teachers from Stenden University in the Netherlands working with Class 2. They are studying for an ITEPS (International Teacher Education for Primary Schools) degree. They will return for additional weeks visits across the year. Next week a Year 2 student will join 3M and a Year 3 student will join 5P. They will be with us until the end of December as a part of their teaching experience. It is always great to have these students in school and they are always very happy to be join the BEPS community and work with our children.

As you are all aware on Tuesday (!8th) we will be holding our Parent/Teacher Consultations. By now you should know what time your Class Teacher appointments are. If you haven’t already made an appointment to see a specialist teacher you must do so by Monday. Please follow the link that Dominique sent you to select your appointment time.

When you come to your appointment please use the terrace door at the back of school, so you enter the building by Ms. Hertay’s office. There will not be anybody available to buzz you in through the front door. Thank you.

As you will have seen in the letter the PTA sent you, this year there will not be a PTA Halloween Party. However, this will be replaced by a Winter Party on Saturday January 21st. To ensure that the children do not miss out on any Halloween fun we will be be organising some Halloween activities during school time on Wednesday 26th October. More information about this will be sent via your child’s class and this e-mail next Friday. So watch this space!
