The rather miserable weather has really made us feel that
autumn will be moving in to winter before we realise it. However, whatever the
weather the children remain cheerful and ready to learn.
The Book Fair on Tuesday proved to be a great success. The children gave it a double thumbs up, and Ophelia the lady that ran it gave them a double thumbs up too. She praised them for their politeness and the careful way in which they handled and enjoyed the books. She is looking forward to returning just as much as the children will be looking forward to her return. We already have a large pile of books to add to our libraries and there are more to come. Thank you for your support.
Yesterday Cap Science were in school. Class 7 are learning about rivers in their Unit of Work ‘Go With the Flow’ and enjoyed being involved in some experiments and developing their learning further. Thank you to the French Team for organising this opportunity.
Next week two classes will be heading out of school to extend their learning. On Tuesday Class 3 will be going to the circus. This will help them prepare for their own performance, which is sure to be even more spectacular. Class 1 are going to Technopolis a hands on Learning Centre. Here they will be involved in lots of role play linked to their Unit of Work all about transport.
We are already over half way through November and so that means that the children will soon be busy preparing for our Winter Fair. Each class will make some exciting items to sell, and all of the money raised will be donated to Nativitas – a non profit making organisation that provides hot meals and food parcels to people in need. This is based in Brussels and always appreciates the support BEPS gives them greatly.
This year our Winter Fair will take place on Friday 2nd December from 14.15 – 15.15, so please make sure that you have the date in your diaries.
