Today we had to say goodbye to Maggie So, one of our Class 1 teachers. Maggie is returning to the USA with her husband, and we are sure you will join us in wishing her well. She will be replaced by Marie Mbida who some of you may remember as she is returning to BEPS. We would like to welcome her back and hope that she enjoys working with our class 1 children.
We told you last week that some of our children were going to learn outside of BEPS this week. On Tuesday the class 3 children went to the circus. They enjoyed all of the acts and have been talking about them ever since. The Class 1 children went to Technopolis yesterday and had the opportunity to ‘drive’ an ambulance, train and car along with lots of other vehicles. They learnt far more than they could have imagined about transport during their visit and had lots to share when they returned.
Next Friday will be our Winter Fair. The children will be very busy making crafts to sell to you. As you already know the money raised from this will be given to Nativitas. If you have any items for the White Elephant Stall, please bring them in and take them to the French Classroom near the Lower School library. We hope that you will be able to come and join us and look forward to seeing you from 14.15 – 15.15 on that day.
We hope that those of you with children in Class 6 and 7 received an invitation to our Class 8 information evening today. This will be held at 18.30 next Tuesday (29th November). We hope that you will be able to join us to learn all about the opportunities Class 8 will offer your children. Please return the confirmation slip on Monday.
Dominique would like to thank everybody that has already returned their payment for photographs or unwanted photographs. If you have not yet done so, please can you send in the money (17Euros for the whole pack) or the photographs as soon as possible.
The Upper School had their first rehearsal for the Winter Concert yesterday. The children are all very excited about this event and are working hard to prepare for it. The Lower School children have their first opportunity to share their songs and ideas with each other on Tuesday. We will soon be sending tickets for this, so look out for them in your child’s Blue Bag in the next week or so.
On Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th December the Lycee Moliere have oragnised for Nordmann Christmas Trees to be sold outside their school. A proportion of money from these sales will be donated to charity. You will be able to buy and take your tree home or you can order online and have them delivered to your home. Please visit www.sapinexpress.be for more information.
