Wednesday was another exciting day at BEPS. The Class 3 Circus performance was even better than anyone could have anticipated. Proud parents filled the ‘Big Top’ in the attic and were amazed by their children’s skills. We always think that the BEPS Circus can’t get any better, but it does. Congratulations to all of the performers and to their teachers for making it such a fabulous event.

Whilst the Class 3 were performing, Class 5 were enthralled with the learning they were gaining from a real live Volcanologist! They were very surprised when she arrived in the classroom, dressed ready to go exploring a volcano, but quickly regained their composure and started to ask everything they possibly could to deepen their understanding of volcanoes. It was a wonderful opportunity for them and some now dream of being a Volcanologist or a Geologist. Thank you to the volcanologist and to Arthur’s father for making this possible.

Yesterday we had a complete run through of the Winter Concert, using props as welli and are feeling that we are getting closer to being ready for the big day. Please remember that we start at 10.00 and so please don’t be late.

You should have received an e-mail about hot lunches for next term. If you have not responded to this, or returned the form, please ensure that you do on Monday at the latest as Dominique needs to send in the final numbers then. Likewise, if you haven’t ordered a Winter Concert DVD, but would like to do so the deadline is on Monday.

As you know we have a new gate at the front of school. We are all gradually getting used to this and movement through it is becoming easier. However, we are very concerned as we have see children pretending to push the gate to open it, and putting out their arms to prevent the gate from closing. This is very dangerous. If they are close enough to the gate to be putting their arm through the gap, they are too far away from the sensor for it to work. The mechanism is strong and the gate closes quickly so they could easily get caught in it and injured. Please pass this information on to anyone that collects your child. The children should stay away from the gate and only walk through with an adult. Thank you for your co-operation.

Next Thursday afternoon all classes will be holding their end of term parties. Please make sure you read your Class e-mails to find out more about these.
