'Kiss and Ride' information

Following the start of the work on Avenue Victoria we would like to share some information with you.

You will have seen that the police have set up a ‘Kiss and Ride’ Zone in front of numbers 21 – 27 Avenue Franklin Roosevelt. You can park in this zone for a maximum of 10 – 15 minutes whilst you are collecting your children from school knowing that the police will not give you a parking ticket. However, to enable them to know that you are a BEPS parent, you must display a BEPS ‘Kiss and Ride’ sign. If you do not have one of these visible in your car, and they make one of their regular checks you will be fined or your car will be towed away. If you have not yet been given one of these signs please come and collect one from Dominique tomorrow.

Although the police have told us that some of their team may let people park in the central area of the road opposite the ULB, others may not, and so we recommend that you avoid using this area. However, they say that parking on the pavement, or on the area of soil between the pavement and the road is definitely not allowed.

We would also like to inform you that the buzzer for the front door is working. Some of you have thought that it wasn’t as Dominique was not responding when you rang it. What is happening is that as the front door buzzer is on the same system as the gate opening system the front door buzzer does not ring until the front gate closes again. Please be patient and wait until the gate closes, before buzzing to ensure she hears you. Thank you.

Thank you for the support you have shown during the early days of this work.

Best Wishes,

The Leadership Team
