The highlight of this week was International/Mother Tongue Day when the children enjoyed listening to stories from around the world told by parents and teachers. Of course, our international lunches went down very well and everyone ate lots, as there were so many different delicious things to try. Everybody looked fantastic in their clothes representing their countries and we are already looking forward to next year’s event. Thank you for your support.

The smell of chocolate was enticingly wafting around school today. Class 4 completed their Unit of Work about chocolate by making their own. There were lots of chocolatey faces, and they weren’t only children’s!

Class 2 also celebrated the end of their Unit when their parents joined them for their Exit Point this morning which was a senses workshop. They were keen to show their parents everything they’d learnt and did so brilliantly.

This afternoon we had buddies and as all the children were excited about the forthcoming holiday it made a great fun ending to the week.

Important Security Tag information:

As you should be aware new security tags for the front and back gates are now available.

If you have not already done so you must collect your tags from Dominique on the Monday after the holiday (6th March).

If you do not do so you will not be able to enter the school after 16.00. You will need the tag to come and pick up children after clubs and from garderie.

You do not have to pay for the two tags your family will be given, however, if you wish to have an extra one you need to order it and pay 10 Euros for it.

There is a reader at both the front and back gates, it is next to the buzzer and you simply hold the tag in front of it to open the gate. You also need to use the tag to leave the school.

Dates for your diaries:

Monday 27th February – Friday 3rd March – Half Term holiday

Monday 6th March School restarts

Thursday 30th March - Last Day before the Easter Holiday (Full Day)

Friday 31st March - INSET Day - No School for children

Tuesday 18th April – School reopens after the Easter Holidays

We hope that you have an enjoyable holiday.

Best Wishes,

The Leadership Team
