It’s hard to believe that there is only a four-day week before the children are on holiday again. As you know there is an INSET Day for teachers on Friday and so the children’s last day will be Thursday, which will be a full day.

Lots of learning has taken place this week and classes 5,6 & 7 all enjoyed learning beyond their normal classroom situation. On Tuesday Class 5 visited the Constantin Meunier Museum. They really enjoyed themselves and learnt lots from their well-informed guide Mme. Easton. The French team also organised for Cap Science to come in and work with Classes 6 & 7 in relation to their Science Units of Work. They also learnt lots and of course they all had plenty of questions to ask too.

This afternoon the children were all very excited when they realised that it was time for Buddies once again. We have reached the time in the year when they all know each other well and are very happy to interact with each other and share their learning and lots of fun.

Next Tuesday the Class 4s are off to visit the Musee de l’Eau to learn more about water for their unit ‘On Tap’. Once again, this trip has been organised by the French team.

The PTA are preparing an Egg Hunt for the children on Thursday. This is an exciting event that the children look forward to, particularly as there is the prospect of some chocolate at the end of it. They don’t usually miss any eggs, but if you look carefully when you come to collect them at the end of the day you may be in luck.

Dates for your diaries:

Thursday 30th March - Last Day before the Easter Holiday (Full Day)

Friday 31st March - INSET Day - No School for children

Tuesday 18th April – School reopens after the Easter Holidays

Monday 24th April – BEPS Book Day and Book Fair.

Tuesday 25th April – Parent/Teacher Consultations (from 16.00)

Monday 1st May – School Closed (Labour Day)

Please remember that the clocks move forward by one hour on Saturday night into Sunday morning. Unfortunately, this means that we will lose one hour, but on the upside it means that Spring is really here.

Enjoy the weekend.

Best Wishes,

The Leadership Team
