Although the children were already on holiday today, the teachers were still at school. They were participating in a workshop entitled ‘Developing Pratical Pedagogy to empower Multilingual Learners’ led by Mindy McCracken and Lara Rikers from the International School of The Hague. It has been a stimulating day and has given us lots of practical ideas to introduce next term.
Yesterday the children were very excited when the PTA ‘bunny rabbits’ hid lots of eggs for them to hunt for in the garden. We hope that some of these managed to make their way home, rather than all being eaten as soon as school was over! We are sure that you will join with us in thanking the PTA for organising this greatly anticipated event.
The Class 4 children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Water Museum in Genval on Tuesday. Whilst they were there, they took part in an experiment about the water cycle, saw how to use an 18th Century washing machine and learned how water was moved in the Middle Ages and is still moved in different countries today.
