We started the week thinking all about books as we were celebrating
BEPS Book Day. All the children across the school were investigating
non-fiction books and writing their own. Many of these were linked to IPC Units
of Work and we are sure the children will have told you about them.
The children also thoroughly enjoyed the Book Fair bring in school on Monday. As always, they enjoyed choosing books and the school has benefitted from this. We could choose a large pile of beautiful books from the proceeds of the money they spent and have the opportunity to order even more at reduced prices.
The children will be happy to hear that there will be one more Book Fair before the end of the year. The lady that organises them was very complimentary about the children and is very keen to hear ideas of the types of books she could bring from you too.
We hope that you enjoyed having the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher on Tuesday at our Parent/Teacher Consultations. It is always a pleasure to have the chance to share their progress with you. The partnership between home and school is vital to ensure the children are happy and able to learn.
This afternoon, some students from the University of Leuven led assembly for the Upper School children. They talked with them about emotions and how they can cope with these. The children were all keen to share their ideas and able to demonstrate their knowledge of emotional intelligences. They will return to lead Lower School assembly next Friday.
