We were waiting with anticipation to greet our football and netball team at the end of the day. They arrived back from the International School tournament having had a fantastic day, displaying great behaviour and representing BEPS really well. On top of this they also finished in 4th and 5th positions. Well done to everybody that participated. We are very proud of you all.
Earlier in the week our Pre-School children enjoyed their visit to the puppet theatre. There was the excitement of a bus trip, the show and being in the dark! All of these experiences added together meant they had a great time.
As you are probably aware the newest craze of Fidget Spinners has hit BEPS. Whilst we are happy for children from classes 2-8 to bring these into school, we do not feel that they are appropriate for our Early Years children (Pre-School and Class 1) and ask you not to let them bring them into school.
We have explained to the children that they are only to be used in the playground, not in class or on the way to and from the playground. When they are not playing with them, if they are in the playground they must be kept in their pockets, and in school they must be kept in their bags. If they follow these rules and the Fidget Spinners don’t cause any problems in the playground they can continue to bring them to school.
However, it will be the children’s responsibility to look after them and to play with them safely. There are many different versions on the market and we also suggest that you check the safety of those you purchase as copies have been proven to be unsafe.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
