If you looked in the garden earlier today, you would have been surprised to see a large gathering of minibeasts. Apparently, the Toddlers and Pre-school children were helping a sick slug called Sid to organise a Brilliant Bug Ball. It looked as though they did a great job, as everybody appeared to be enjoying themselves greatly. This was the Exit Point for their Unit of Work and so they are now minibeast specialists.

As you are probably aware the PTA are busily preparing for the Summer Fair. They would like to ask you, if you haven’t already purchased your raffle tickets or sent in a donation for this if you could do so on Monday. You will be receiving a letter from them on Tuesday explaining about the re-introduction of the much-loved International Buffet and how you can help support this.  They will also be requesting your help as volunteers before, during and after the fair. As we all know the more people that help the more fun we can all have. Please look out for the letter in your child’s Blue Bag on Tuesday. Thank you.

On Tuesday (30th May) the Book Fair will be in school again. This will be the last opportunity for the children to buy books at school before the Summer Holidays, and so they may like to bring some money to spend on that day, and buy some holiday reading material. They should have brought home the letter and envelope about this earlier this week, but just to remind you, you are welcome to visit the fair too. As usual it will take place in 5P.

Some families that will be joining the school in September have asked about the availability of Baby Sitters or Nannies. If you are going to be leaving Brussels and leaving your Baby Sitter or Nanny behind, please let them know if they would like to share their CV and references with us we will share them with these new families.

Finally, we would like to let you know that a great organic strawberry sale will take place at the Lycée Molière on Wednesday 31st May. As there are limited supplies you must order your strawberries in advance at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSciPPEfXout4B6SVc7lSOa2bL0FKgt3MhV-El4XJ6y8Eygopg/viewform?c=0&w=1

(Please pay in cash when you collect your strawberries, and bring a box to take them home in.)

We are happy to tell you that 100% of the profits of the Strawberry Sale will support the village of Malundu in Zambia thanks to the Abantu Zambia foundation. To find out about this, visit: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxk5eZtpTHTrUVRneDNXa29TOTQ/view

They thank you in advance for your support and ask you to forward this information to your friends.

Let’s hope the sun continues to shine for the next few days so that we can really make the most of the long weekend.
