The week ended in a frenzy of activity and exercise for
Classes 2-8, as it was their Sports Day today. In house teams, they
participated in activities ranging from Kin-Ball and archery to rope art. There
were eight different activities and it will be interesting to see if your
child(ren) can remember them all. They all enjoyed themselves and worked well in
teams across the age groups, to co-operate and cope with the challenges they faced.
The week also began with excitement as on Monday our Class 8 children presented their Exhibition to their families, friends and invited members of the BEPS community. We were incredibly proud of their achievements, just as they should be. Some of the children then visited the Exhibition on Tuesday and learnt a great deal from the eldest children in our school. If you have not had the opportunity to see their displays, please come into school to see them. However, this is only a part of what they shared as they support and extend an informative and thought provoking PowerPoint Presentation. Well done Class 8.
On Monday, the intrepid Class 3s went off to Planckendael on what was probably one of the hottest days for a trip in the history of BEPS! However, the heat didn’t prevent them from finding out all about animal classification and coming back full of knowledge about lots of different animals.
It was good to see people supporting the talk given by the GP and Nutritionist Doctor Benoît Evrard on Wednesday. This gave plenty of food for thought, about ways of ensuring the whole family is eating healthily. If you didn’t manage to attend, we are sure that somebody will be happy to share their findings with you.
Of course, next week is the last week of the academic year, and that will also bring excitement with it. On Tuesday at 14:00 some of the talented BEPS children will be sharing their skills and entertaining their friends, in the annual BEPS Talent Show.
On Thursday afternoon, all classes will be celebrating with an end of year party. Please see class newsletters for further information.
That will bring us to Friday, the last day, when children will meet their new classes and then celebrate the end of the year with our Final Assembly. This will take place at 11:15. If your child(ren) are leaving us this year, please feel free to come and join us.
Dates for your diaries:
Tuesday 27th June – Talent Show
Thursday 29th June – End of year class parties
Friday 30th June – Final Assembly, last day of term and school ends at 12:30
Rest well this weekend, because it’s going to be busy next week.
