A rather wet and blustery week hasn’t dampened our spirits, and learning is now fully underway.
· Welcome Picnic. Tomorrow, between 11:30 and 14.30 we will be holding our annual Welcome Picnic. Please don’t be put off by the weather. If it is raining and we are unable to use the garden, we will hold it inside instead. So please pack up a picnic, bring a rug and come and meet some old and new friends.
· On Sunday, it is car free day in Brussels. You will be able to get out your bicycles, blow the cobwebs off your roller blades and head out into the streets.
What’s been happening:
· On Monday Classes 5F-J, 5T and 4P had their first swimming lesson of the year. This first session was spent finding out how the children’s skills had developed and so proper lessons will begin on Monday.
· This afternoon Upper School had their first assembly of the year. Ms. Hertay read a story called ‘Can I join your club?’ It reminded the children how we should welcome everybody, even if we are all different. The children were able to recognise links between the story and life at BEPS, and to talk about this and share their experiences. After this they discussed learning and how this year they will be learning even more about how to talk about this.
