A couple of weeks ago Year 3 held a sponsored Water Walk. They were seeing what it was like to carry the water they needed for a day, just as many children across the world have to do every day. In order to help these children, they were sponsored by their family and friends so they could make a donation to Water Aid. They have now collected all the money they raised and have just calculated the total. We are very proud to tell you that they raised 796€. This is a fantastic result and we would like to thank everyone that supported them. Well done Year 3.
Please remember that you need to order your school photographs by visiting www.vdeonline.comOrders need to be placed by Monday 5thNovember.
There is an ever increasing amount of lost property in the Lost Property Box. Next week this will be displayed on the terrace in the hope that some of it will be claimed. Anything which is not labelled with a child’s name and is left at the end of the week will be donated to charity. Please label your child’s belongings, but especially their BEPS T-shirts and sweatshirts. In this way we can return them, or they can find them easily. Thank you.
Yesterday we celebrated World Maths Day at BEPS. The children spent the day playing Maths games. The older children designed and made some for their younger buddies to play, which they enjoyed sharing with them this afternoon. The Lower School and Early Years children also enjoyed some Maths trails around the school and the school grounds.
Year 1 visited the Ferme du Prevot today. They had a great time and arrived back at school with some delicious looking bread and lots of new knowledge and memories.
As you know this weekend is a very busy one in the BEPS calendar. The Relay for Life team will start their 24 hour event at 15.00 tomorrow and shortly after this will be the opening of the BEPS Halloween Party (15.30). We hope to see as many of you as possible at both events. Please note that you will only be able to enter the Halloween party from Avenue Victoria, the front gates will remain closed.
