Half Term is here! Important news regarding roadworks.

The first term has come to an end, but it only seems like last week that we were welcoming everybody back after the summer holidays.

Important News:

Just when we thought that the roadworks were improving we have some more news to share with you.

We have been informed that new tarmac will be put on the BEPS side of Avenue Franklin Roosevelt from Monday 5thNovember. This means for that week there will not be any vehicle access to the front of BEPS. They will dig up the old tarmac replace it and paint new lines. This will take the whole of the week and so you will not be able to drive in front of school from Monday 5th– Friday 9thNovember. You will not be allowed to park anywhere either, and so we recommend leaving your car at home if at all possible. However, you will be able to drive along Avenue Victoria, at the back of school. Please read the attached document for further information.

School Events:

We are sure that you would like to join us in thanking the PTA for all the work they put into creating a fantastic Halloween Party last Saturday. Also thank you to everybody else that volunteered and attended. There were some truly ghoulish costumes that gave an extra scary atmosphere.

We would like to thank everybody that bought or donated cakes and cookies for the Relay for Life. The Cake Sale we held at school on Wednesday raised 280.50€ alone, and there is still money to come in to add to what was already raised. We hope to be able to give you the final total in the first newsletter after the holiday. Thank you also to Year 6 who organised the sale for us.

Year 6 also visited Technopolis on Thursday. This trip was linked to their unit of Work which is all about Rivers. Ask them what they learnt when you see them next.

Important Dates:

Monday 5thNovember – Back to school

Tuesday 13thNovember - Book Fair

Thursday 22ndNovember 18.00 – Introduction to the MYP (Middle Years Programme) - more information will follow.

Please remember that the clocks go back on Saturday night, which means that we can all have an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning. Let’s hope the children remember too!

We hope that you will all have an enjoyable Half Term break and that you come back relaxed and rested and ready for all the excitement that the next Half Term will offer.

Best Wishes,

The Leadership Team
