Student Led Conferences are almost here.

We are all looking forward to the Student Led Conferences that will be taking place on Tuesday. You and your child(ren) only need to be in school for their appointment, but if possible please allow time to see how they work in their specialist lessons too.
Siblings that are waiting for their meetings need to be taken to the attic and signed in and out. Brothers and sisters cannot go to each other’s appointments; it is a special time for individual children to spend with their parent(s) and teacher. Thank you for your support in helping us make this a fun learning experience for everyone.
During the Student Led Conference you will be given a form to request a Parent/Teacher Consultation on Tuesday 1st March. Either your or the class teacher can request a consultation, but they are not compulsory. If you have requested an appointment the time of this will be sent home on Friday 25th February.

To celebrate World Book day on Thursday 3rd March we would like the children to come to school wearing their pyjamas ready for our bedtime reading activities. We will spend time during the day talking about, sharing and reading books and think it will be fun to see as many people as possible wearing their pyjamas. Teachers will be joining in the fun as well. The Book Fair will also be at BEPS on that day.
On the Tuesday of that week (1st March) it will be World Maths Day and there will be lots of Maths activities happening in school.

After the half term holiday our Swimming and PE rota will change. In order to make sure that the children have had equal access to PE and Swimming the Lower School children (Classes 1,2&3) will then have swimming until we break up for the summer holidays. That will mean that from Friday 18th March up until, and including Friday 24th June Classes 1,2 & 3 will need to bring their swimming things to school. Upper School (Classes 4,5,6&7) will be going to the gym from Monday 14th March until Monday 20th June.

We are in the process of sorting out all of the old and spoilt books from our library shelves. These books also have to be removed from the library computer system and I am sure you are aware that this is a time consuming task. If you have any free time that you could use to help Oonagh (our Librarian) with this job I know that she would really appreciate it. Please contact her or myself if you would be willing to help. Thank you in advance.

I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.

Enjoy the weekend.
